Software Updates

1. Update-1: Enable speaker audio [11 Oct 2018] (No Longer needed, covered in Update-2-offline below)

• Please follow the instructions given in the pdf link to apply this update.

• The update file size is less than 1 MB. The entire process shall take less than 5 minutes to complete.

2. Update-2: Fix for audio jack & bluetooth [16 Oct 2018] (No Longer needed, covered in Update-2-offline below)

• Please follow the instructions given in the pdf link to apply this update.

• Update-1 is no longer needed. This update includes changes from update-1 as well. The total download size of update-2 is approximately 100 MB.

3. Update-2-offline: Fix for audio jack & bluetooth [24 Oct 2018]

• This is just an offline version of Update-2, there is no additional changes. 

• Please follow the instructions given in the pdf link to apply this update.
   

4. Update-3-offline: Fix for vlc & dragon player [5 Nov 2018] 

• Use this update only if vlc player is not working on your laptop

• If you can open vlc and play any media file then please ignore this update. 

• Follow the instructions given in the pdf link to apply the update.

• This update doesn't require any internet connection. 

5. Update-4: Update to the latest Linux kernel 4.19.1 [2 Dec 2018] 

• Please apply update-2-offline if you haven't already
• This update displays correct wifi signal and improves overall system stability
• To apply this update you need a working internet connection. Open the konsole application (terminal) and type the following:
  • sudo apt update && sudo apt install -y linux-image-4.19.1-iitb
• Restart your laptop to apply the changes
